The JCS Middle School All-County Honor Choir included top vocal students across the district who spent the day rehearsing together for an ensemble performance that evening. The group also enjoyed performances by vocal ensembles from Jefferson and Washington High Schools. Bravo to all! 🎶

Wildwood had 3 winners at Saturday's Math Field Day. Benjamin Elliott earned 2nd place & Noah Musselman was 2nd alternate for 7th grade. Wyatt Kenney received 3rd place for 8th grade. Congrats!

JCS middle schoolers received a message of kindness and positivity as they headed into the winter break. Author and educator Jefferson J. Jones visited all four middle schools as part of a district-wide focus on anti-bullying and emotional intelligence development. On Dec. 21, 2022, a Wildwood Middle School student made a threatening statement during class. There was and is NO DANGER to students or staff. Administrators addressed the situation according to our discipline policy and have contacted law enforcement. An investigation is ongoing. We appreciate your support and partnership as we work to keep our school safe.
Report cards will be distributed to students on Friday, Jan. 6th. Mark your calendars for Parent Teachers Conferences - Tuesday, Jan. 10th from 6:00-8:00 pm.
We're pleased to bring holiday cheer to neurodiverse students and their families again this year with the second annual JCS Sensory Santa! This event gives sensory-sensitive children and their families a chance to visit Santa in a calmer, less-chaotic environment. The fun continues the weekend thanks to our student and staff volunteers!

National Special Education Day commemorates the signing of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) into law in 1975, granting children with special needs access to free and quality public education. Today we recognize and celebrate our incredible special education community at JCS with a heartfelt THANK YOU to the teachers and aides who serve some of our most exceptional learners.
The WMS library will be holding a book fair/book swap in the library from Dec. 5-12 except for Dec. 7th.

Next Monday, Dec. 5th – Jefferson High School will hold their annual Scheduling Night for Rising Freshman in the auditorium at 6:00 pm. Eighth graders and their families are encouraged to attend.
